Can anyone recommend a good wide angle lens for photographing tight indoor spaces? _________________ www.johnjamesarchitect.com |

Two great lenses for tight spaces are the Nikon 24 PCE, a shift and tilt lens.
This is a great lens for stitching images for a wide view. The alternate is the Nikon 14-24MM zoom. It is a higher resolution lens than the fixed 14MM that Nikon makes. There is a bit of barrel distortion at the 14MM setting, but it is easily corrected in CS4. For examples, go to my web site adweckphoto.com and select the images for the Comcast Center lobby. _________________ Aboud Dweck Photographer

My favorite lens is the 24mm pc-e lens by Nikon but it can be costly if you're starting out. If I was just starting out and needed good optics but within budget, I would pick a regular 24mm f/2.8. If you're using a smaller sensor camera like the Nikon D300 you will need wider at about 17mm.
Be careful not to go too wide. The images start to get a weird feeling to them when too wide.

Generally speakin I think any recent Nikon wide lense is a safe bet.
I also like the 24mm f/2.8 |
