hi i am trying to pick a program to learn to help in home design these homes usally have a lot of coustem things to design. I also build so i need blueprint quality for building from the picture. I am currently using dw light and i cant figure out how to show dimentions or if the program can show dim. other than in the edit box?
I am also trying designcad now has anyone used this program for these aplications?

DesignWorkshop Lite is focused on 3D. With the Object Info box etc. etc. you can readily create dimensionally accurate models of your designs, and design in 3D.
For drawings with dimension lines, like you'd want for permits and construction, you can readily export drawings from the DW model into your favorite drawing/drafting software - PC Draft, PowerCADD, etc. There it should be quick to add dimensions, notes, and all those other drawing elements that would just be clutter in the model space. |
