I can't help but reply.
Arez Anzel of COMPUneering Inc is doing no one a favor by droping the price on an outdated structural application used to size beams and joists.
Anyone who uses SimpleSpan is being foolish in thinking they are saving money just because "SimpleSpan appears to do what I need."

I find Frame mac to be adequate with revised tables. I do this in excel and export to txt file. What are your complaints with the program? I would appreciate a carbonized version but OS9 version is fine. I would be curious what is inadequate about the program as I have several hundred wood, concrete and steel structures that were designed with the aid of this program.

I was specifically refering to SimpleSpan not FrameMac.
Personally I would not use SimpleSpan with it's outdated WOOD data to design anything people are on or under. It cannot be relied on for accurate, code-approved calculations.
