Please remove me from this mail list. I do not share these ideas.
Latins do not want to take over America. They want to work and provide a
living for their families. They want a future for their children. They want
the same things our ancestors wanted -to be treated fairly.

Our language does not make us Americans our ideals do. Our belief that if a person works hard and does a good job they should succeed regardless of their skin color, religion or national origin. Latin Americans are here
because we hire them, because there is a niche that needed to be filled. Six thousand troops and hundreds of miles of fences will not have any effect on immigration only stopping opportunity will stop immigration.

I do believe we need to control immigration and have some control over our borders but as it is we are not even keeping illegal immigrants from coming through controlled check points much less thousands of miles of deserts, coastlines and forests.

Immigration is much like illegal drugs. We have had a "war" on them for many years with no success. The only way we will be able to stop them is by controlling our own behavior. As long as people use drugs others will supply them, this is the same with illegal immigrants.

I personally have to respect people who have left there homelands and made a difficult journey to a foreign land so that they can be a part of this great nation and make a better life for their children. I have been in the
homebuilding industry most of my adult life and I have worked with many
people of Latin origin and find them overwhelmingly to be good, hardworking and honest people that deserve our respect.

Thanks,
