How do I purge accumulated dashes in PC7.05 under OS10.5.2?
In 10.4.X I would delete a PC file (defaults? table?) in the preferences folder, but I cannot find the analogy in Leopard.
Please help.

I think the file you're looking for is:
~/Library/Preferences/PowerCADD/Default Tables
that file contains info regrading Global Attributes settings
it hasn't changed in terms of function or location in the update to PCD7.0.5 |

Thanks for the quick response.
I do not have a Powercadd folder nested in ~/Library/Preferences on my current computer. I do remember having exactly what you describe on my previous machine (G5/OS 10.4.10). I swapped machines ~ 2 months ago. Its taken this long to accumulate enough dashes to make a purge necessary, but now I really need to get this taken care of.
Any additional help will be appreciated.

David,
The pref files HAVE to be somewhere!
I'm guessing you're looking in the wrong Library folder.
There is one at the System Level: 'boot volume'/Library/Preferences AND
one at the User Level: 'boot volume'/Users/'user'/Library/Preferences.
You need to be looking at the user level.
If you can't find it, do a search for "PowerCADD". There must be a folder with that name and it will contain several preference files. The other file to look for is "com.engsw.PowerCADD7.plist". It will be at the same location as this PowerCADD folder.

PS: You can use my Preference Utility to save and delete PowerCADD's preference files. Click the link below. _________________ Tool Palette Guide
