You could use the 50 gallon drums to build pontoons, if the drums are galvanized steel, they can be welded together, if they are plastic drums you can device a steel crate to hold them together, in either case the drums must be filled with foam, such as Styrofoam or urethane. After the pontoons are assembled, you will build a platform, ( aluminum, steel or treated wood can be used), after the platform is completed, you can put your dream home on top.
Verify the local codes for septic tanks, potable water, electric systems, etc. |
