| Hi! I am a new user of UG, currently working on NX2. I have received a model which has a lot of UNPARAMATIZED features in it which i am unable to edit. Can anyone help me know what are these unparamatized features and can these be edited. |

Hello there,
"UNPARAMETRIZED" typically means that the model has been combined using "UNION" (boolean operation). Once this is done, generally it is not possible to convert it into parametric form.
Cheers,

Just out of interest, can you tell me if you have any tips about installing UG. I posted something regarding the rather dodgy flexlm which i can't get to work!
A tip. If you are working in industry, try and make or convert models so that the features are not done with boolean. This means that the company files can be edited easily and in small increments. The time boolean comes in useful is when doing moulds so you can take one part and cut it from a solid block and be absolutely sure it's spot on, unless you need to leave particular clearances which you can cut out separately anyway. |
