Towards the bottom of the main index page at the left there is an icon of something or other just below the "Mark All Forums Read" link. If you click that it will add a pane to the index showing who is online.

Just for example, here are some current "who's online' stats for the date of this message:
Our users have posted a total of 12345 articles
We have 6115 registered users
The newest registered user is radishes
In total there are 32 users online :: 5 Registered and 27 Guests
Most users ever online was 366 on Thu, 2005.0203 17:12
Registered Users: catsdrinkbeer, Donald, JohnMorse, Kevin, radishes |
