I am doing a research paper for college and i need input on experts in the feild of design.
Which vector programs are best to use and why?
Which raster programs are best to use and why?
If you could respond as soon as possible that would be great help to me so i can finish my paper and turn it in on time for once.
Thanks |

For a comparison of raster vs. vector graphics, try the above website, or do an "askjeeves.com" lookup.
As far as I understand it, Illustrator is my best choice for vector graphics, and Freehand is also used.
I am not aware of any graphics program that exclusively uses "rasterizing of images", but I may be wrong.
Before vector graphics, there was MacPaint, which I believe was raster graphics, and of course, those programs are extinct.
Digital photographs are pixel based, and may be considered ??? "rasterized", but vector graphics programs are scalable, meaning they can be sized up or down with clarity. Raster graphics programs got all blotchy and fuzzy and unusable when trying to scale to a larger picture area.
I am not an expert on this topic. Good luck. _________________ Ed Ziomek |
