Hi I am a student writing an essay about autocad

I need more info on how autocad changed architecture and how it will change it in the future. if any one has any answers or and links that would give me the answer it is greatly appreciated! the essay's due in a week.

Not real sure how it changed it. Maybe a title on how the computer changed Architecture instead? Acad is simply a tool. Used well by some and poorly by others. It was one of the early players and continues to shape the industry but more to the CAD world than AutoCAD. IMHO.

I first saw AutoCad in 1983. So it was somewhat of a pioneer.

First application of CAD I saw was by IBM and Man Mac. Some large offices like SLS Environetics used this system. It utilized a flatbed plotter. Those skilled in punchcard development could have fun with this system. This dated back to 1973.

We had these huge CAD workstations in tech. school that never worked. I mean they were huge! In my 2 years there they never worked Laughing . This was through 1989-1991 so it was a while ago. We were using r9 on DOS in the main CAD labs running on 386 machines. Thank GOD for progress Wink
